On 29th November, 6 Year 12 students participated in the annual Grocer’s Hall Academy Awards competition. They presented an excellent idea called “Plantback” which was an app that would enable its users to manage and control their carbon footprint. The student delivered an impressive pitch on the night to judges such as Tim Campbell, winner of the first ever Apprentice and Freddy Macnamara, founder of a car insurance app called Cuvva. Our team faced tough competition from Chelsea Academy and City Academy Southwark and unfortunately did not win the evening but did receive incredible praise from each of the judges on the panel. A big thank you to the mentors from BBH Marketing and Balyasny Asset Management. Congratulations to Chelsea Academy on their win’ Mossbourne Sixth Form looks forward to competing again next year.
