You can access the application form here.
Monday 13th January 2025 – Applications close.
Applications not submitted by this date will not be considered. Students are not able to apply later in the Spring or in the Summer after they receive their GCSE results. It is therefore important that you apply by this date if you are even considering Mossbourne Sixth Form as one of your options.
Thursday 13 February 2025 – Consultation day.
This is the day when we invite everyone that has submitted an application in to meet with a member of our staff. We like to call this Consultation day as this is the chance that we get to talk to you about your ambitions and course selections and provide you with some advice as to what is going to work best for you. This is a two-way process and we would like our applicants to ask as many questions to us as we to do them!
Monday 23rd June 2025 – Taster day.
On this day we invite students who have not attended one of the Mossbourne secondary academies in to get a taste of what it is like at Mossbourne Sixth Form. You will have the opportunity to sample some A Level lessons and meet fellow applicants. We are only able to accommodate a fixed number of students at this event. Places are given on a first-come-first-served basis and sign-up emails are sent out in late Spring. If you do not get a place on the taster day please do not worry – attendance on the day has no impact on your chances of getting a place at the Sixth Form.
Thursday 21st August 2025 – Enrolment day.
This is the same day as GCSE results day. After you receive your GCSE results you will be able to enrol with us if you meet our entry criteria. Please note you will have to attend in-person on this day. We do not accept family members or friends to enrol on somebody’s behalf. Please plan your summer accordingly so that you are able to attend this if you would like to come to the Mossbourne Sixth Form. Unfortunately we are not able to make exceptions.
Friday 22nd August – Offers emailed out.
The day after enrolment day you will be emailed with notification of whether you have gained a place at Mossbourne Sixth Form or not. You will receive one of three emails. The first would say you have a place and to study the A Level courses that you want. The second would say you have a place but unfortunately one or more of your chosen courses is full. The third would say that unfortunately you have not got a place. Please familiarise yourself with our admissions arrangements for full details on how places are allocated.
